Everett Newton and Darrin Berlof: About Us

Everett Newton holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Texas, and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence by the University of Houston School of Law.  Licensed to practice law in 1992, he is a member of the State Bar of Texas as well as a number of other professional organizations, including the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Texas Municipal Justice Bar Association, and Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association Everett Newton is a past president of the Dallas Municipal Justice Bar Association.  For four years, he hosted “The Everett Newton Show,” a law-oriented talk radio show, on CBS Radio’s KLLI-FM Dallas affiliate, and has appeared on “The Russ Martin Show” since 1997.

Darrin Berlof holds a B.A. degree in  Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. Darrin Berlof was licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas in 1995, and was in solo practice until 2001, at which time he became a founding partner of Berlof & Newton, P.C.  He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Municipal Justice Bar Association, and Dallas Municipal Justice Bar Association.  In 2009, he was selected as “Best Personal Attorney” by D Magazine, based upon votes that the magazine received from other Dallas lawyers, as well as those received from previous clients.
